November is National Hospice & Palliative Care month. Throughout this important month, Cedar Valley Hospice will provide education about the care we deliver each day and honor the #CareHeroes in your lives. Whether it's a Cedar Valley Hospice staff member or a family caregiver, these heroes are making a difference offering their support, care and guidance when it's needed the most.
Talking about hospice and palliative care opens doors to understanding, compassion and comfort. It is essential to understand that choosing hospice and palliative care is not giving up. It is not the abandonment of care. It is not reserved just for the very end of life. We encourage you to educate yourself and others on the importance of hospice and palliative care at cvhospice.org/hospice-month/.
Cedar Valley Hospice also offers free community programming on topics relating to hospice, palliative care and grief, including:
- Hospice 101
- Myths of Hospice
- How to Support Grievers
- Grief & The Holidays
Each presentation is tailored to the needs of your individual group, and typically lasts between 20 minutes to an hour. For more information, visit cvhospice.org/speakers-on-site/.
