This support group is free and open to all, and meets the third Thursday of every month from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Plan to attend if you or someone close to you is affected by Parkinson's disease.
Please note the change in day/time and place for our meetings. This group has moved to the third Thursday of every month from 1:30 to 3 p.m., and has moved to the Carstensen-Gruben Room ("CG Room") on the 2nd floor of the hospital. This will allow us to have separate meeting rooms when we break into discussion groups.
To get to the CG Room, you may park in the orange lot and use the orange entrance, which is on the north side of the hospital. Use the driveway at 2nd Ave and 10th St SW and proceed through the green lot to get to the orange lot. The orange entrance is where you enter for the Women's Clinic, Behavioral Health services and Visiting Specialist Clinic. Once inside, take an immediate right and then an immediate left down the hallway, past the therapy pool. The CG Room will be on your right. We will have signs posted to help you find your way.
Along with those changes, we are excited to have Leah Thier, PT, join in assisting with the support group. Leah is a physical therapist with Taylor Therapy who has special training in Parkinson's disease.
