Ambassador Visits June 2024

Waverly, IA – The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors recently held two ribbon
cuttings, one for a new business in Waverly and one for an existing business. One new business
in Wavely was presented with a First Dollar Award, and two existing businesses were presented
with Progress Awards.



The Ambassadors met with office manager Lisa Bohach to hold a ribbon cutting and First Dollar
Award presentation to celebrate the opening of Laird Law Firm, located at 94 E Bremer Ave.

The Ambassadors met with facility manager Maddie Fletcher to hold a ribbon cutting and
Progress Award presentation to celebrate the new facility renovations at Rock River Pet Resort,
located at 1148 230th St. Rock River Pet Resort offers pet boarding and many other services for
your furry friends, including daycare, training and grooming. Their recent renovations updated
the facility to include a larger office space, a larger grooming room, three new quieter suites,

The Ambassadors met with director Kassi Bailey and office manager Sierra Kochersperger to
present them with a Progress Award to celebrate Self-Help International hiring Kassi as deputy
directory in 2023, and Sierra as the Waverly office manager earlier this year. The mission of
Self-Help International is to alleviate hunger by helping people help themselves. Self-Help
works to alleviate hunger by assisting the rural poor, small-scale farmers and related
enterprises in developing countries. They help them to become self-reliant in meeting the
needs of families and communities through training, education, leadership development, and
