Ambassador Visits September 2024

Waverly, IA – The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors recently held three ribbon cuttings in Waverly, presenting two new businesses with First Dollar Awards and two existing businesses with Progress Awards.



The Ambassadors met with owner Monica Neuendorf to hold a ribbon cutting and First Dollar Award presentation to celebrate the opening of Zen Den Yoga + Wellness, located at 114 E Bremer Ave. Zen Den Yoga + Wellness is dedicated to promoting health and relaxation through a variety of yoga classes and wellness events. The studio offers a welcoming space for individuals of all skill levels, with classes ranging from gentle yoga to more advanced practices. For more information about Zen Den, visit their website.

The Ambassadors met with the owners of Miller True Value and presented them with a Progress Award to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Miller True Value, located at 1201 4th St. SW. Miller True Value is a locally owned hardware store offering a wide range of products and services. The products they offer include tools, paint, home improvement supplies, and more. They also offer services such as blade and saw sharpening, lawn mower or power tool repair, and equipment rental. The Ambassadors met with store manager Sue Rindels to hold a ribbon cutting and Progress Award presentation to celebrate the completed renovations at Walmart, located at 2700 4th St. SW. The extensive updates included modernized bathrooms, new fitting rooms, and revitalized departments across the store. A standout feature of the remodel is the striking new mural of Waverly, prominently displayed at the store's entrance, paying homage to the local community. The Ambassadors met with owner Mike Keeran to hold a ribbon cutting and First Dollar Award presentation to celebrate the opening of Grumpy’s Roadhouse, located at 1016 W Bremer Ave. Grumpy’s Roadhouse is a new sports bar with multiple large-screen TVs for game day, an inviting bar area, and a wide selection of beers and drinks. Their menu includes options such as burgers, sandwiches, wings, pizza, and more. Grumpy’s also hosts special events such as live music performances and open mic nights.
