The annual Candlelight Walk Event will take place Saturday, November 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the Waverly Rail Trail. Enjoy a FREE, one-mile candlelit stroll on the trail beginning at the trail head shelter behind Kwik Star East in Waverly, near 412 1st Ave SE.
If you’d like, dress in your favorite Halloween costume for the occassion; this is a great family and dog friendly event.
Trail volunteers will place over 1500 luminaries this year to light the way for walking. Complimentary hot cocoa provided by Nestle Beverage will be at the turn around near the bonfire.
Parking for the event will be available at Kwik Star, in the City lot East of Kwik Star, the Parks Maintenance Area, near the Rail Trail shelter, and the lot between Sub City and the Law Center.
In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel will be made by 3:30pm. There is no rain date.
