Location
Waverly is located in northeast Iowa a few miles north of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls metro area, and is part of the Greater Cedar Valley Region. Located on the banks of the scenic Cedar River with a population of 10,549, Waverly is the largest city in Bremer County, and also serves as the county seat.
Waverly is strategically located with abundant interstate, regional and local highway access. It is an Avenue of the Saints community on Hwy 218/27, which connects St. Paul and St. Louis. Our 4-lane highway system easily allows access to major US arterial interstates I-80, I-35 and I-380 in all directions.
Waverly offers rail service as well as convenient access to local, regional and international air service. The Waterloo Regional Airport is 17 miles away by four lane highway. The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids is 90 miles, Des Moines is 130 miles and Minneapolis is 200 miles via four lane and interstate. Waverly also has a well-maintained municipal airport with private hangar space available.
