Ambassador Visits September 2023

Waverly, IA – The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors recently presented two local businesses with Progress Awards and held a ribbon cutting for one new business in Waverly, presenting them with a First Dollar Award.
The Ambassadors presented Seth & Tricia Engelbrecht, owners of the Engelbrecht Farms at 1167 240th St., with a First Dollar Award and held a ribbon cutting for the opening of their flower farm. Their beautiful flower farm offers seasonal flowers to florists and consumers as well as special events throughout the year. The Ambassadors presented Pastor Dave Efflandt of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church & School at 301 1st St. NW with a Progress Award for his position as the new lead pastor of the congregation as well as the remodel of the church and school facility that took place this year. St. Paul’s is a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to worship, learn, and grow together in their faith, and St. Paul’s Lutheran School educates students preschool through sixth grade. The Ambassadors presented Gary and Ruthie Davis, owners of Garry’s Tire and Ruthie’s Sparkle and Shine at 2003 E. Bremer Ave. with a Progress Award for the celebration of the businesses’ 50th year in business as well as their 50th year as members of the Waverly Chamber of Commerce.
