Water Rates

	Current Rates	Rates Effective June 2024
For the first 1,000 cu. ft.	$4.86 per 100 cu. ft.	$5.01 per 100 cu. ft.
For the next 4,000 cu. ft.	$3.89 per 100 cu. ft.	$4.01 per 100 cu. ft.
For the next 5,000 cu. ft.	$3.16 per 100 cu. ft.	$3.25 per 100 cu. ft.
For all over 10,000 cu. ft.	$2.43 per 100 cu. ft.	$2.50 per 100 cu. ft.

The above rates are based on monthly consumption of water.  It is expressly provided, however, that each and every building, tenant, premises or each and every separate service connected with the water system shall be charged and shall pay monthly for the use of water measured and registered by meter, a minimum rate as follows:

Second Water Meter

Some residents choose to install a second water meter if they do a lot of watering of their lawn and garden or if they have a swimming pool to fill.  Sewer fees are not charged against the water from a second water meter.  This meter is read each month of the year.  There is a fee for the water meter and charges from your plumber for installation.  Email or call the Water Division at (319) 352-6247, if you have questions on installing a second water meter.

Hose Bib Meter

An outside Hose Bib Water Meter (for the homeowner's easy installation) can be rented for temporary outside water usage.  The Hose Bib Meter can be rented for 30 days for a fee of $25. Sanitary sewer charges will be reimbursed after the water meter is removed and returned.  Email or call the Water Division at (319) 352-6247 for more information or to schedule a pick-up time between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
