Volunteering
We have volunteer opportunities available for adults, families, teens, and retirees with a wide variety of interests and abilities. We also enjoy working with small groups and corporate volunteers for special projects. We know you’re busy, and we strive to develop flexible volunteer opportunities that work with your schedule. Daytime and evening hours are available on both a regular and on-call basis during both the week and weekends.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Shelf Organization: Straighten and dust shelves and put books in order.
- Volunteer Corps: Help at special events and programs as needed.
- Display Helper: Pull and organize books for displays.
- Town Crier: Spread the word about upcoming library events.
- Children's Craft Maker: Prepare crafts for kids' storytimes.
- DIY Craft Assistant: Help at monthly adult DIY craft programs.
- Garden Helper: Assist staff gardener with garden upkeep.
- Clean Team: Do light cleaning and tidying during open hours.
- Inventory Assistant: Scan and track barcodes of library materials.
- Digitization Assistant: Scan and digitize fragile local history items.
- Story Walk Supervisor: Rotate picture books in the outdoor Story Walk.
- Genealogy Researcher: Help patrons research family history.
