Approval of this application gives permission to the owner of a parcel of property greater than ½ acre (or 21,780 square feet) the opportunity to burn Yard Waste on their property in accordance to the City of Waverly’s Open Burning Ordinance (Chapter 71). If this application is approved, an Open Burning Permit will be issued. Please note that a property owner does not need to reapply each year unless there has been a change in ownership or in the size of the property.
