Sign Permit

Waverly regulates the placement, size and duration of signs through ordinance a permit application and review process.

General Information
Some Commonly Applied Provisions from the Code in the Zoning Chapter (Section 100.26):
- Business signage on the facade of buildings is limited to 25% of the wall surface area.
- Sight triangles must be observed to promote safety so motorists do not need to look around and above signage at intersections (See Sign Ordinance).
- All private off-premise signs, including but not limited to garage sale signs and political signage shall not be located within the Right-of-ways of Local or State roadways (the area between the sidewalk and curb is within the right-of-way). These signs do not require a permit.
