Urban Renewal and TIF District
The City of Waverly has identified taxable areas where any increase in taxable valuation may be captured and redistributed within those areas for a predetermined amount of time. These combined areas are collectively referred to as the Waverly Unified Urban Renewal Area. The areas are identified and approved by the City following careful consideration.
The first area was identified in 1986. The recent addition was in 2011 when the plan was adopted to further increase the property area contained within the area known collectively as the Waverly Unified Urban Renewal Area.
